1 · Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how rehelios ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our video infrastructure platform, websites, CLI, MCP server, and API (together, the "Service").
By using the Service you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2 · Information we collect
- Account data. Your email address, name, and authentication credentials (passwords are hashed; we never store them in plain text). If you sign in with GitHub, we receive your GitHub email and profile basics.
- Content you upload. Video files, imported media, metadata, thumbnails, and any associated data you send to the Service for storage, transcoding, and delivery.
- Usage & billing data. API requests, storage and delivery volume, playback analytics, and the records needed to meter and bill your account.
- Technical data. IP address, device and browser information, and log data generated when you interact with the Service.
3 · How we use information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service — including storing, transcoding, and delivering your video.
- Authenticate you, secure your account, and prevent abuse or fraud.
- Meter usage and process billing.
- Communicate with you about your account, security, and service updates.
- Improve the Service and develop new features.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4 · Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your information on the basis of: performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, your consent (where required), and compliance with legal obligations.
6 · Data retention
We retain your content and account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete content or close your account, we delete or anonymize the associated data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, accounting, or legitimate-business purposes.
7 · Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed credentials, signed playback tokens, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8 · Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise these rights, or withdraw consent, by contacting us at the address below. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
